Hi, I’m Ramon.

I code, manage infrastructure & create content that helps.
Crafted to simplify workflows, improve security, and share knowledge effectively across platforms.

What I do

Development

I build practical, open-source tools that streamline time tracking, learning management, and digital workflows. My focus is on writing clean, efficient code with version control, smart automation, and broad platform compatibility. These tools are designed to reduce manual overhead and help people work more effectively.

System Administration

I self-host all my websites using lightweight LXC containers on Proxmox VE, running on a 10G network with VLAN segmentation. A reverse proxy and hardened pfSense firewall ensure secure, isolated access. I also maintain sites for select clients, applying the same principles of performance, security, and reliability.

Content Creation

I create content across three areas: technical writing on open-source tools and self-hosting; reviews of headphones, phones, and other gear I actually use; and a Swiss German podcast with honest, unscripted conversations shaped by a question neither of us sees coming. Different topics, same intent. Clear, honest, and worth the time.
